Light up the season with Night Bloom, a 5 week interactive light art and sound exhibition. Immerse yourself in an illuminated conservatory bursting with vibrant and luminous artwork.
Rooms evoking the tropics will dazzle in this nighttime experience. Take a journey with us through the five galleries with Night Bloom:

  • Prism: Colorful beams will pique your curiosity and encourage exploration.
  • Mist: Float above the clouds and discover the unseen.
  • Glow: Reflect in the glimmer of glowing water.
  • Bloom: Play and embrace your imagination

+ Ooh. What’s Night Bloom?

Night Bloom is a light art and sound experience with installations dispersed throughout the Conservatory of Flowers. Walking is the primary means of viewing the exhibit. Just under one mile of walking is required to experience every element. Visitors may repeat the walk as many times as they like.

+ I’m in! How do I buy a ticket?

Funny you ask. We recommend purchasing your ticket in advance as this event is likely to sell out. First, click here. Then select a date and time.

+ I’m a member or interested in joining. Do I get a discount?

Conservatory members receive discounted admission at select events, including Night Bloom! Enter your membership number at check out to see the discounted rate.

+ What is a timed ticket?

Timed entry helps to ensure that all visitors enjoy their Night Bloom experience. There is a 30-minute grace period for timed entry; entry is not guaranteed if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your ticketed time. Want more flexibility? + What happens if I miss my entry time?

If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the time on your ticket, entry is not guaranteed.

+ Where are ceremonies held?

Weddings can be held on the platform or lawns directly in front of the Conservatory, or in the Orchid Pavilion. More intimate ceremonies can be accommodated within the Conservatory gardens. Up to 16 guests can be seated, or 35 standing-room-only, within the Potted Plants Gallery, and Special Exhibit ceremony capacities vary with the rotating exhibit design.

+ What happens if I’ve planned an outdoor ceremony and it rains?

Should you decide against an outdoor ceremony due to rain on your wedding day, the Orchid Gallery can seat up to 199 guests for your ceremony. You must decide by noon on your wedding day. The space will be flipped for your reception while guests enjoy cocktails in the botanical galleries.  

+ Can I serve food in the exhibit space?

Yes. Passed hors d’oeuvres, attended food stations and bars are welcome across the rental property. Seated dinners are accommodated in the Orchid Pavilion or tenting on the platform.

+ Does the Conservatory provide event coordination?

An onsite coordinator will assist with facility-related issues, but is not responsible for event planning. All event coordination is the responsibility of the client, and we highly recommend an event coordinator.

+ Do I need to use an approved caterer?

Yes. All of our caterers are well-versed in the policies and procedures of the COF, are fully insured and licensed by the city and state. The caterer provides all personnel and equipment required for preparation of food and beverage, and handles rental orders for tables, linens, dishware, etc.
